Blackberry Kush Strain Review

Name: Blackberry Kush

Dispensary: Green Works SD

Grade: B+

Type: Mostly Indica (About 80% Sativa, 20% Indica)

Lineage: DJ Short’s Blueberry crossed with Afghani.

Price: $20/gram, $55/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$350 ounce

Looks: Frosty nugs with purple hues throughout. Medium sized, leafy buds completely covered in trichomes. Dank and sticky when broken apart.

Smell: Sweet, creamy, musty and earthy. The aroma was reminiscent of blueberries and was earthier than a batch of DJ Short’s Blueberry.

Taste: A sweet and creamy blueberry flavor similar to the smell. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy, relaxing buzz. Clear headed, sedating, mildly euphoric and calming. The body buzz was strong and couch lock-y. Good for late in the evening and for sleep.

Summary: A nice representation of a beautiful strain. The taste was sweet and the buzz was on point. I was craving some Blackberry Kush and this hit the spot.

Blue UK Cheese Strain Review

Name: Blue UK Cheese

Dispensary: Green Works SD

Grade: A-/B+

Type: Mostly Indica (about 65% Indica 35% Sativa)

Lineage: UK Cheese crossed with Blueberry

Price: $18/gram, $55/8th, $100/ quarter, $190 half ounce /$350 ounce

Looks: Chunky spongey buds. Mostly dark green nugs with some orange hairs, a touch of purple and heavy trichome coverage.

Smell: Like blueberries. Sweet, fruity, slightly sour and a little earthy. Smells like a creamier DJ Short’s Blueberry. Does not smell like cheese.

Taste: Not quite as sweet as the smell. There’s a hint of cheese in the flavor. The taste is pleasant, but not as pronounced as I expected.

Buzz: Calming stone. Moderately sedative and slightly euphoric. A bit heady. Good for the late afternoon or early evening.

Summary: Great looking and smelling buds with a good taste that doesn’t quite live up to the smell. The Blueberry genetics dominated the scent, but the effects reflected the characteristics of both strains. A bit headier and stonier than DJ Short’s Blueberry, but clearer and more peaceful than UK Cheese.

Blue UK Cheese. Smells just like blueberries.
