Looks: Striking deep green nugs. Small, chunky buds with heavy trichome coverage. Dank and sticky.

Smell: Piney, musty and grassy with a noticeable fuel scent. Smells closer to OG than Bubba.

Taste:  A strong pine-fuel flavor similar to the smell. Harsh vapor with heavy lung expansion. The taste lingered on my tongue after vaporizing.

Buzz: Heavy peaceful stone. Clear headed, spacey and relaxing. The body buzz was strong, it locked me to the couch, but didn’t put me to sleep. Best for the evening.

Summary: A solid strain with unique looking nugs and a heavy buzz that leaned more toward OG Kush than Bubba. 

619 Bubba Kush Strain Review

Name: 619 Bubba Kush

Looks: Big, spiky, chunky and leafy nugs. Purple and dark green buds with a few brown hairs and heavy trichome coverage. Dank and sticky when broken apart.

Smell: Earthy, musty, woodsy, peppery and slightly sweet. Deep earthy aroma with hints of sawdust and coffee. 

Taste: A hearty, earthy flavor sweeter than the smell. The flavor lingered in my mouth long after vaporizing. Thick vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy, couch locking buzz. Clear headed, introspective and calming. Sedating with a strong body buzz. Made me hungry and rendered me useless watching TV and eventually dozing off. Best for bedtime.

Summary: A heavy Bubba with a deep, earthy flavor. I prefer more euphoric versions of the strain.

619 Platinum Bubba Kush Strain Review

Name: 619 Platinum Bubba Kush

Looks: Chunky, dumpling sized, big nugs. Light green and purple buds with bright orange hairs and heavy trichome coverage. Leafy and light. Brittle nugs that were dank and sticky when pulled apart.

Smell: Musty, woodsy and minty with hints of sweet spice. Recognizable Kush scent.

Taste: A musty, minty flavor similar to the smell. Smooth, tasty vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Relaxed happy buzz. Clear headed, euphoric and moderately sedating. Put me in a great mood and gave me the munchies. Numbing sensations were noticeable around my neck and face. Good for the late evening and bedtime.

Summary: An excellent batch of Bubba that had me craving its taste. Beautiful buds with a really pleasant buzz.

91 Hollywood Pure Kush Strain Review

Name: 91 Hollywood Pure Kush

Lineage: A unique phenotype of Pure Kush (sister of OG Kush) originating from Hollywood.

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce

Looks: Diamond encrusted compact nugsLight and dark green buds with a few orange hairs. Perfectly manicured, dank and sticky. 

Smell: Pine, fuel, sweet citrus, menthol and a hint of lemon lime. 

Taste: Piney and citrusy with a touch of lemon-lime. Unique taste that reminded me a bit of breakfast cereal. 

Buzz: Relaxing with an incredible euphoric high. Clear headed, clean, social and happy. The body buzz is functional and comfortable. It won’t put you to sleep. Good for anytime in the afternoon through later in the evening.

Summary: The best strain I’ve ever sampled. The looks, taste and smell are all amazing, but what really makes it special is the high. It’s bliss.

V.S.O.G. Strain Review

Name: V.S.O.G.

Looks: Frosty, tightly trimmed, popcorn sized nugs. Dark and light green buds with a few bright orange hairs and very heavy, golden hued trichome coverage. Dank and very sticky.

Smell: Pine, citrus, earth, grass and fuel. There is a slight sweetness to the scent.

Taste: A piney, musty and grassy flavor similar to the smell. A cooling citrus flavor was noticeable on early inhales. Smooth vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy, tranquil stone. Clear headed, spacey, sedating and relaxing. Numbing sensations were noticeable around my face and mouth. The body buzz was strong. It locked me to the couch and helped put me to sleep. Best for the late evening and bedtime.

Summary: An excellent tasting cut of OG Kush that took me down in the best way possible. Very good for relaxation and sleep.

Blackberry Kush Strain Review

Name: Blackberry Kush

Dispensary: Green Works SD

Grade: B+

Type: Mostly Indica (About 80% Sativa, 20% Indica)

Lineage: DJ Short’s Blueberry crossed with Afghani.

Price: $20/gram, $55/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$350 ounce 

Looks: Frosty nugs with purple hues throughout. Medium sized, leafy buds completely covered in trichomes. Dank and sticky when broken apart.

Smell: Sweet, creamy, musty and earthy. The aroma was reminiscent of blueberries and was earthier than a batch of DJ Short’s Blueberry.

Taste: A sweet and creamy blueberry flavor similar to the smell. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy, relaxing buzz. Clear headed, sedating, mildly euphoric and calming. The body buzz was strong and couch lock-y. Good for late in the evening and for sleep.

Summary: A nice representation of a beautiful strain. The taste was sweet and the buzz was on point. I was craving some Blackberry Kush and this hit the spot. 

Blue Dream Strain Review

Name: Blue Dream

Type: Mostly Sativa (About 70% Sativa, 30% Indica)

Lineage: Blueberry crossed with Haze.

Price: $20/gram, $55/8th, $110/ quarter, $210 half ounce /$350 ounce 

Looks: Spongey, hairy nugs. Light and dark green buds crawling with bright orange hairs and yellow tinted trichomes. Dank and sticky in my grinder.

Smell: Sweet, earthy, grassy and haze-y. Recognizable Blue Dream scent.

Taste: A sweet and grassy flavor typical of good batches of Blue Dream. Smooth vapor with mild lung expansion. 

Buzz: Soaring heady high. Clear headed, creative, euphoric and uplifting. Energetic and speedy, but relaxing with a light body buzz. Best for wake and bake and the afternoon.

Summary: A solid batch of Blue Dream with a headier, more Sativa leaning high than many batches I’ve sampled. This batch had me bouncing off the walls.

Private Reserve Bubba Kush Strain Review

Name: Private Reserve Bubba Kush

Looks: Chunky, leafy and hairy nugs. Medium green buds covered in auburn colored hairs with heavy trichome coverage. Dank and sticky.

Smell: Musty, woodsy and earthy with a sweet spiciness. Familiar Bubba Kush aroma.

Taste: A musty, woodsy flavor with traces of sweet spice. Hearty vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy numbing stone. Relaxing, sedating and mildly euphoric. Numbing sensations were noticeable at the top of my head and shoulders. It locked me to the couch, made my eyes red and droopy and helped put me to sleep. Best for late evening and bed time.

Summary: A solid batch of Bubba Kush at a great price. The looks, smell, taste and buzz were all on point.

Legendary Pure Kush #1 Strain Review

Name: Legendary Pure Kush #1

Lineage: A unique phenotype of Pure Kush (sister to OG Kush)

Looks: Compact tightly trimmed nugs. Medium green buds with a few peach colored hairs. Caked in trichomes.

Smell: Pine, menthol, citrus and fuel. There is a floral sweetness. 

Taste: A piney, citrusy flavor with a touch of menthol. Pronounced taste with hearty vapor. Heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Euphoric and heavy. Powerful clean high. Clear headed, uplifting and slightly introspective. The body buzz is strong, but not overly couch lock-y. Best for the evening.

Summary: It’s called Legendary for a reason. My favorite version of Pure Kush behind the 91 Hollywood PK. It packs a punch and the high is fantastic.

91 Malibu Fire OG Kush Strain Review

Lineage: Unique phenotype of Fire OG Kush

Looks: Milky trichomes over tightly trimmed, light green buds. Compact nugs with a few orange hairs. Dank and sticky when broken apart. The trichomes make the buds look almost white.

Smell: Deep pine, fuel, earth and citrus. Strong pine-fuel stank. 

Taste: Like the smell with a rich piney and earthy flavor. Very tasty. Smooth vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy, soothing and sedating buzz. Clear headed and moderately euphoric. My eyes were droopy and my body was comfortable and totally at peace. It helped put me to sleep. Great for late in the evening and bedtime. 

Summary: I love a heavy nighttime OG and this is the best I’ve come across. The taste is fantastic. The buzz is comfortable and peaceful. The nugs look amazing. This is the whole package.

Strain Review: Boogie Man Bubba Kush

Looks: Small and compact, leafy nugs. Medium green buds with a few burnt orange hairs. Brittle to the touch, but dank and sticky when broken up.

Smell: Musty, piney, earthy, sweet and a little spicy.

Taste: A musty, sweet piney flavor. Hearty vapor with moderate lung expansion.

Buzz: Relaxing, heavy buzz. Clear headed, sedating and mildly euphoric. Had me feeling sleepy and hungry. Best for bedtime.

Summary: A pretty good batch of Bubba with a buzz that was good for sleep. Overpriced for the quality.

Strain Review: OG Kush 91

Name:  OG Kush 91

Lineage: Unknown. A unique phenotype of OG Kush.

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th 

Looks: Tightly trimmed nugs that are totally caked in trichomes. Mostly light green buds with many burnt orange chairs. The trichome coverage makes the nugs appear almost white. Slightly brittle to the touch.

Smell: Pine, earth, citrus and fuel. There is a floral sweetness to the scent.

Taste: A piney, musty flavor similar to the smell. Hearty, smooth vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Strong relaxing stone. Spacey, slightly euphoric and a little sedating. The body buzz was comfortable with numbing sensations felt at the back of my neck and shoulders. Couch lock-y in high doses. Best for the evening.

Summary: An amazing looking OG with a strong spacey stone. This batch had some of the most impressive trichome coverage I’ve seen on an OG.

S-10 OG Kush Strain Review

Name: S-10 OG Kush

Type: Mostly Indica

Lineage: OG Kush, Sour Diesel, Chem Dawg and Purple Urkle

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th 

Looks: Leafy and hairy funky looking nugs. Light and dark green buds covered in light brown hairs with moderate trichome coverage. Dank buds that were easy to break apart.

Smell: Sweet, earthy, grassy, zesty and a little spicy. A subtle candied purple scent was noticeable. The scent stung my nostrils.

Taste: A sweet, musty and zesty flavor. Smooth vapor with moderate lung expansion. The taste lingered on my tongue after vaporizing.

Buzz: Mellow relaxing buzz. Clear headed, spacey, calming and moderately sedating. Best  for the evening and for lounging around the house.

Summary: A unique strain with a sweet flavor and a pleasant buzz.

Skymaster Strain Review

Name: Skymaster

Type: Mostly Indica (About 75% Indica, 25% Sativa)

Lineage: Skywalker OG crossed with Master Kush.

Price: $20/gram, $60/8th 

Looks: Leafy, chunky, light and airy nugs. Mostly light green buds with a few pale brown hairs and heavy trichome coverage. Dank and sticky when broken apart.

Smell: Musty, piney and earthy with a hint of sweet, sour and citrus. Smells like a more delicate Master Kush with a subtle minty scent.

Taste: A musty, minty flavor similar to the smell. Smooth vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Peaceful high. Clear headed, euphoric, soaring and relaxing. Calming, but active and not overly sedating. Numbing sensations were noticeable at the top of my head and around my face. Good for the late afternoon or early evening.

Summary: An excellent cross that combines the looks and taste of Master Kush with the soaring, relaxing high of Skywalker. 

Alien Abduction Strain Review

Name: Alien Abduction

Looks: Big, chunky nugs. Light and dark green buds with a few burnt orange hairs and extremely heavy trichome coverage. Brittle to the touch and easy to break apart.

Smell: Piney, citrusy, musty and earthy with a hint of funk.

Taste: A piney, musty flavor with funk and Chem flavors noticeable. Smooth vapor with heavy lung expansion.

Buzz: Heavy racy stone. Relaxing, introspective and spacey. The body buzz was strong, but not overly couch lock-y. Made my eyes red and stimulated the appetite. Best for the evening.

Summary: A unique looking strain with a heavy, racy stone. The buzz reminded me of a heavier Chem Dawg. Headier and racier than my preference.
