A fresh batch of Platinum Bubba Kush is a beautiful thing.

Name: Private Reserve Bubba Kush
Dispensary: The Hot Spot(Los Angeles)
Grade: B+
Type: Mostly Indica
Lineage: Unknown. A variation of Bubba Kush.
Price: $16/gram, $44/8th, $72/ quarter, $130 half ounce
Looks: Big, chunky, leafy, finger shaped nugs. Light and dark green buds covered in brown with heavy trichome coverage. Brittle to the touch, but dank and sticky when bro.
Smell: Musty, woodsy and minty with a sweet spiciness.
Taste: A musty, woodsy flavor similar to the smell. Hearty, smooth vapor with heavy lung expansion.
Buzz: Heavy, calming buzz. Clear headed, mildly euphoric and sedating. Numbing sensations were noticeable at the back of my head and down my spine. Best for the evening.
Summary: A solid batch of Platinum Bubba. It was well priced and the looks, smell and taste were all impressive. The buzz was enjoyable, but more sedating and less euphoric than my favorite batches of the strain.

Name: Platinum Bubba Kush
Dispensary: Advanced NMC (formerly Apothecary 420) [Hollywood]
Grade: A/A+
Type: Mostly Indica
Lineage: Unknown. A variation of Bubba Kush.
Price: $20/gram, $60/8th
Looks: Big, chunky, leafy, dumpling sized nugs. Light and dark green buds with some purple peeking through closer to the stems and a few auburn colored hairs. Heavy trichome coverage. Brittle to the touch, but dank and sticky when broken up.
Smell: Musty, earthy, minty, sweet and spicy. Recognizable Bubba Kush scent.
Taste: A musty, minty flavor similar to the smell. Rich and thick vapor with moderate lung expansion. The flavor lingered in my mouth long after vaporizing.
Buzz: Happy, heavy buzz. Clear headed, euphoric, sedating and highly relaxing. My body was tingling with noticeable numbing sensations. Couch lock in high doses. Best for the evening and for the sleep.
Summary: Finally, a proper batch of Platinum Bubba Kush. I’ve sampled so many disappointing batches in the past few months and it feels good to find the real deal. The looks, taste and smell were all fantastic. The buzz was everything I love about good variations of Bubba; happy, heavy and extremely enjoyable.
Finally, a proper batch of Platinum Bubba Kush. See my full review here.
